Amyris is a leading synthetic biology company that is up almost 140% on the year. 

I'm more so interested in this one for the long term because it has the potential to revolutionize chemical production (See podcast episode below), a couple of years ago it considered producing biofuel but has since abandoned this project. 

AMRS has good potential as a short term trade. It could have a nice run in the next couple of months as it continues to make acquisitions and attempts to clear up a lawsuit involving copyright infringement from a strategic partnership to produce Cannabinoids. It also has a role in producing the components necessary for vaccines (see article below). Despite all of this potential, this company has been a mess financially so it is a potential short squeeze candidate, plus it's options have large IV swings so that makes it even more attractive for a momentum play.
