Soaring Eagle Acquisition Corp > Ginko Bioworks

Long story short the Soaring Eagle Acquisition SPAC will acquire Ginko Bioworks which is best thought of as a "pick and shovels" play for the emerging field of synthetic biology. The valuation is a little rich imo but I plan to get a few shares.

Listening to one of my favorite investing podcasts "Yet Another Value Podcast" and they're discussing Another relevant company in the synthetic bio space: Amyris (AMRS). This one has long term potential (like 10x and then some)

It is under NAV right now, but I think I will add this to my watchlist and monitor it after it merges. Playing SPACs pre-merger has been a losing game so far in 2021

SPACs ("Special Purpose Acquisition Companies") are blank check companies that have cash in them and are seeing a target to acquire.  These can be fun because it's a 🕵️‍♀️ game of who they're going to acquire.  It can be profitable if the target company ends up being something in a hot space.

Make sure to do your DD on management behind the SPAC, cash position, and target sector.
